Fontaines D.C. - Dogrel

Dogrel introduces Fontaines D.C. with a restless set of post-punk songs rooted in Dublin. Released by Partisan Records in 2019, the band's debut puts Grian Chatten's distinctive delivery against wiry guitars and driving rhythms, drawing on the city's everyday life and its literary traditions.

Big opens with a short burst of intent, followed by Sha Sha Sha, Too Real and Hurricane Laughter. There is room for quieter reflection in Roy's Tune, while Boys In The Better Land and the closing Dublin City Sky give the record its enduring sense of place. Eleven tracks capture a band finding its own voice.
