About this release
Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ The Best Of gathers eleven selections from the group’s catalogue on a single LP. ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’, ‘The Love I Lost’ and ‘Wake Up Everybody’ share the running order with ‘Bad Luck’ and ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’.
The selection moves from soul ballads to the group’s disco-facing material, with ‘You Know How To Make Me Feel So Good’ and ‘Hope That We Can Be Together Soon’ adding further highlights. Issued by Sony in 2021, this is a compact introduction to a central name in Philadelphia soul.
