About this release
James Holvay returns to LRK Records with Love Has Found A Way and Working Man. The Chicago songwriter, known for the Buckinghams' Kind of a Drag and his work with The MOB, draws on the soul traditions that have run through his career.
Love Has Found A Way revisits a song written with Gary Beisbier, recut with a driving Chicago soul feel. Working Man takes inspiration from people Holvay encountered in downtown Los Angeles, pairing an uplifting message with Motown-influenced production. Together the two sides connect his songwriting roots with the contemporary Northern Soul scene.
