Jorge Ben - África Brasil

África Brasil finds Jorge Ben bringing samba and Brazilian songwriting into close contact with funk. The 1976 album contains some of his best-known recordings, from the opening 'Ponta De Lança Africano (Umbabarauma)' to 'Taj Mahal', with the rhythmic energy running throughout its eleven tracks.

'Xica Da Silva', 'Camisa 10 Da Gávea' and the closing 'África Brasil (Zumbi)' help make it a full album experience beyond its familiar highlights. This Future Shock reissue presents the record on a single coloured vinyl LP, offering a direct route into one of the key albums in Jorge Ben's catalogue.
