About this release
Midnight Cruisin' captures Kingo Hamada's mellow approach to city pop and AOR during his Alpha Moon years. First released in 1982, the album brings together unhurried melodies, rhythm guitar and soft synth textures, with long-time collaborator Makoto Matsushita among the participating musicians. This expanded edition spreads the original nine songs across three sides, leaving the fourth for two later recordings: the 2002 version of Midnight Cruisin' and Dear Song. Both bonus tracks appeared on Best Collection - Moon Years and are presented here in their 2025 remasters. The eleven-track set is pressed across two heavyweight records cut at 45 RPM.
