Gibbons’ historic mix reshaped Holloway’s Salsoul classic into an extended dancefloor form that helped define the disco edit as a new art, while Claussell’s version opens it out from a different angle, bringing percussion, space, guitar bite and deep Body & Soul-style motion to the original’s emotional force.
