About this release
Beauty & The Beat meets Loopcinico on The London-Maranhão Connection, a double twelve-inch joining Brazilian and Latin percussion to psychedelic funk and club-minded electronics. Four original cuts move through cowbell patterns, acoustic textures and bright, weaving synth lines.
‘Curimbobata’, ‘Maquio’, ‘Upaon’ and ‘Calma-Cara’ form the core of the release. Leonidas expands the rhythm and low-end weight on two remixes, including a disco dub of ‘Maquio’, while Vidock supplies the closing rework. Seven tracks spread across four sides, with room for both detailed listening and extended dancefloor use.
