About this release
Tiago Miranda’s Luz Retina project reshapes industrial, new wave and post-punk material for the dancefloor on this second collection of edits. The reworks retain the source recordings’ darker, off-centre character while giving their rhythms a cleaner, more direct shape. Funky industrial textures and a Balearic-goth atmosphere connect the selection, placing an emphasis on the tension between groove and mood. Miranda’s approach brings those 1980s underground aesthetics into a contemporary club setting without smoothing away their unusual edges.
