About this release
Manuel Darquart introduces Adventures In Paradise with four edits spanning disco, Balearic house and Italo-dance. Can’t Beat Love opens at 128 BPM, stretching its disco arrangement through changes in momentum, while Paul’s Strut takes a dubbed approach that opens into flamenco guitar. On the reverse, Now In Time pairs piano with a flexible bassline and bright synth figures. Massive Jazz (Paradise) brings disco, new wave, acid-house and jazz elements into the final cut. The record carries the title of Darquart’s Adventures In Paradise radio programme into a label release, connecting his editing work with the show’s broad musical outlook.
