About this release
Mark Flash's King Of Light connects Underground Resistance's melodic side with the physical drive of Detroit techno. The title track leads with an animated bassline, emphatic chords and rising synth melodies, giving its rhythm an expansive feel. Dark Symphony strips the arrangement back towards sharper percussion and tense string phrases, while Eagle Warriors pushes the energy through marching drums, filtered voices and rave-styled keys. These three pieces give the record a clear progression from uplifting techno soul to more direct rhythmic pressure. Issued by Underground Resistance as UR-090, the EP carries Flash's balance of expressive melody and tightly focused dancefloor rhythm.
