Masayoshi Takanaka - Alone (Clear Deep Blue Vinyl + Clear Red 7")

Alone finds Masayoshi Takanaka in the melodic, sharply played fusion territory that defined his early-eighties recordings. Originally released in 1981, his eighth studio album includes 'Speed Of Love', 'The Night Delay' and 'Penguin Dancer', with guitar-led funk and smooth arrangements running through its eight-track sequence.

For this Japanese reissue, Alex Wharton remastered and cut the album at Abbey Road Studios using high-resolution transfers from the original master tapes. The LP is pressed on 180g clear deep blue vinyl and accompanied by a clear red 7-inch of 'White Lagoon', restoring the bonus recording supplied with the original first pressing in a new physical format.
