About this release
Nicolò Bozzano focuses on fractured percussion and shifting club rhythms across Ssambé. ‘Drydrums’ works with a dry drum palette, smudged chords and washes of noise, while ‘Fakedrums’ follows with more angular patterns. The title track brings the low end forward, anchoring flashes of jungle-derived rhythm with a pulsing bass presence. Released on New York label anno, the three-track EP follows his earlier work for Baroque Sunburst. Henry at Pitchcraft handles the mastering, with artwork by Brian Mark. The record’s emphasis stays on the interaction between texture, syncopation and physical low-end movement.
