Paolo Achenza Trio - Sweat / Fez Bossa

Paolo Achenza Trio’s Sweat and Fez Bossa return on a Schema 7-inch, newly remastered from the original recordings. The third instalment in the label’s series of early Fez collective productions revisits the Bari scene that grew around Nicola Conte in the early 1990s. Its mix of jazz musicianship, Brazilian influences and club-minded rhythms helped establish the musical language of the recordings that would become associated with Schema.

Sweat brings the more insistent pulse, while Fez Bossa lets the trio’s lighter, more relaxed phrasing come forward. Together they offer two sides of the same groove-led approach. This 2026 edition pairs the performances on a 45rpm single, giving both tracks a compact vinyl release under catalogue number SC739.
