About this release
Pete Blaker brings two reworks to Magic Wand, the offshoot of Is It Balearic? Kenny & Dolly opens with soft chords and a gently moving arrangement, adding a new-age wash to the source material. On the reverse, You Belong In The City takes a more beat-driven approach, with layered percussion, substantial drums and a steady rhythmic sway. The pairing connects a more drifting A-side with a firmer, textured flip, giving the two familiar recordings different shapes. Both versions appear as Pete Blaker edits on this two-track twelve-inch.
