Purple Pilgrims - Given To The Night

Purple Pilgrims return with Given To The Night, their first album since 2019 and their debut for AD 93. The New Zealand sister duo make ethereal dream pop, with the hazy atmosphere and sense of space associated with the classic 4AD catalogue. An off-grid retreat and a close circle of collaborators helped shape this new set of songs.

The album follows the idea of finding light in shadows, letting the sisters’ shared musical instincts guide its shifting moods. “Innocence Lost” offers the first glimpse, alongside songs including “Look To The Moon”, “Love Arrived” and “Wherever You Go, There You Are”. A welcome return for listeners drawn to dream pop that leaves room for mystery.
