About this release
Rhode & Brown turn towards UK street soul, digi-dub and 1980s and 1990s R&B and boogie on Aqua Terra. The Munich duo of Friedrich Trede and Stephan Braun works with singer Marlena Dae on Heart Attack and Passion Sauce, pairing synthesiser chords and machine rhythms with a new jack swing influence. The title track’s Acid Frog Mix moves into digi-dub, Long Doggo combines a post-disco and electro beat with a slinky bassline, and Multiflora closes the vinyl programme. Mixed by Caravan and mastered by Nick Arks, the five-track EP appears on Planet Trip.
