Richard - Loving You To Death

Richard’s Loving You To Death on Stroom is a bare, personal record about attachment, obsessive thoughts and the difficulty of leaving a relationship. After experimenting with stretching small riffs into long ambient pieces, Richard chose a simpler approach here: recording without a band and allowing the rough edges to remain.

Sing-song melodies sit at the centre of the album, with the emphasis on the songs and the feelings behind them. The title track, ‘One For Jesse’ and ‘You Were So Sure In The Moment’ introduce a collection shaped by a turbulent period in Richard’s life. An intimate take on independent pop, presented on a single vinyl LP.
