About this release
Ross Hogg brings soul and R&B vocals into a reggae setting on RH 003. Rose Inna Di Dark recasts Cleo Sol's Rose In The Dark around a relaxed rhythm, keeping her voice at the centre while guitar and bright melodies give it a lovers rock feel. Come Around & Kick It shifts the emphasis towards a deeper groove, pairing an R&B vocal with familiar reggae guitar patterns. Both tracks carry Hogg's remix credit, with one version on each side. The contrast between the two voices gives the record its shape, while the steady rhythms keep the mood unhurried.
