About this release
Scarper launches Manchester's vinyl-only Human label with a pair of club tracks that bring together his melodic instincts and love of broken rhythms. 'E-Funk' moves between 2-step, house and breaks, keeping a firm dancefloor pulse with shifting percussion and bass. It's an energetic opener for the label from a London producer with a catalogue spanning albums, EPs and remixes.
On the flip, 'Twisty' keeps the focus on the dancefloor, with acid bass, bleeps and a solid broken groove. Pressed on black twelve-inch vinyl for Human, a label whose interests connect electronic music with art, fashion and culture.
