Shabaka - Of The Earth

Multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist Shabaka Hutchings returns with Of The Earth, his third solo album and the first to arrive through his own Shabaka Records imprint.

The album brings Shabaka back to his signature saxophone sound, folding it into electronics, production, traditional woodwind and percussion from around the world. The result is spacious and deeply rooted, drawing on Hutchings' wider musical language while keeping the focus on breath, tone and movement.

Highly regarded for his work with The Comet Is Coming, Sons Of Kemet and Shabaka and the Ancestors, Hutchings has also worked with artists including Andre 3000, Floating Points, Mulatu Astatke, The Sun Ra Arkestra and Lianne La Havas.
