About this release
Simple Symmetry join Asandisa Siswana of the Thanda Choir for Inkwenkwezi, a collaboration that grew from a meeting in Cape Town. Its title means star in Xhosa, with the vocal conveying guidance, hope and good fortune. The original places that performance within Simple Symmetry's expansive club production, while Lipelis takes it towards buoyant bubblegum house. Multi Culti's Riddim Mix, made by Thomas Von Party, centres on drum-machine movement, and Peaking Lights adds an acid-led interpretation. The four vinyl versions approach the same song from different rhythmic angles while keeping Asandisa's voice at the centre.
