About this release
Sohrab Karimi's Memories Of Ghetto moves from deep, minimal club rhythms into a slower broken-beat close. Riddim1 occupies the first side, using tight drums, low percussion and sub-bass beneath deep pads. Yaaran takes a more swinging route through dub house and techno, leaving space around its rhythmic detail and melancholic motifs. Color Of Love changes the pace on the reverse, pairing a slower broken rhythm with intricate melodies and a Balearic feel. Released through Kolony Gorky, the three-track record was produced by Karimi and mastered and cut by CR at Pitchcraft Mastering.
