Sorry We Play Vinyl - Sorry We Play Vinyl 6

Sorry We Play Vinyl reaches its sixth release with another anonymous trio of edits, keeping the emphasis on unusual source material and patient, hypnotic grooves. Across ‘Edit16’, ‘Edit17’ and ‘Edit18’, minimal house and tech house provide the framework for loose vocal fragments, percussion and distinctly off-centre textures.

‘Edit16’ opens with a heavy, loping rhythm, cowbells and hazy vocals. ‘Edit17’ brings a cleaner pulse and a repeating vocal that gradually becomes the track’s focal point, while ‘Edit18’ layers voices into a stranger, more disorientating closing cut. A three-track 12-inch for selectors who like their house music with a little mystery.
