About this release
The CJP Band pair spiritual disco with a Charles Earland interpretation on their return to Supa Jams. We Must Believe builds around sweeping strings, boogie-driven bass and saxophone, with psychedelic soul vocals carrying a message of unity and transformation. The reverse reworks Let The Music Play, bringing Hannah Williams’ guest vocals into a raw, jazz-funk arrangement. Drums, Fender bass and Brazilian percussion give the performance its momentum, with guitar and saxophone solos adding a more expansive band feel. Across both sides, the group connects the orchestral reach of 1970s soul with a rhythm section shaped for the dancefloor.
