Dimitri From Paris revisits The Cool-Notes’ 1985 recording Spend The Night with two versions for Dafia Records. Working from the original multitrack tapes, he keeps the song’s distinctive character while bringing different elements of the arrangement forward. The main remix adds crisp drums and carefully placed effects to the British group’s blend of soul, funk and disco, giving the familiar song a fresh dancefloor setting.

The reverse offers Dimitri From Paris Is Nightdubbin’, a more stripped-back treatment that uses vocal fragments and space to open up the groove. The two mixes make a complementary pairing for DJs, with the fuller song on one side and the dub on the other. DAFIA12002 is pressed on black 12-inch vinyl in a picture sleeve.
