About this release
Oakland quartet The Loved Ones return with Latest Hits!, a collection of twelve originals produced by Nick Waterhouse. The classic line-up of Xan McCurdy, Michael Therieau, John Kent and Bart Davenport revisit the blues, garage rock, soul and British Invasion influences that shaped the band in the early 1990s.
Recorded to analogue tape, the album ranges from the boogie of Mad, Bad LUV to Down That Road, True Love Or Temptation and Vagabond. Their long experience apart feeds into a shared approach, with guitar riffs, vocal harmonies and vintage rhythm-and-blues arrangements at the centre.
