About this release
The Trip continues its Clubdance series with four originals on Tessellate, drawing on house, techno and garage from the 1990s. Vibration starts with a muscular garage-house groove before Party People In The House moves towards speed garage. Mind Games takes a dubbier route on the reverse, placing percussion and repetition in the foreground. La Musica closes with a two-step rhythm and a wobbling bassline. The London duo’s second solo EP of the year keeps those earlier club influences in a contemporary setting, with each track approaching the rhythm section from a different angle.
