About this release
First Floor Part 1 opens Theo Parrish’s debut album, originally released in 1998. Its bluesy, soulful approach to house rests on offbeat drum programming, effects and loosely interlocking elements that build a hypnotic groove. First Floor Metaphor and Only The Beginning each have a side to themselves, while Sweet Sticky and Paradise Architects share the third side. Love Is War For Miles closes this instalment, leaving space for Parrish’s rhythms and textures to unfold. This Peacefrog edition spreads the five tracks across two records, pressed on smokey vinyl with an obi strip.
Format: 2LP smokey vinyl with obi strip
