About this release
Tiger Stripes continues A Tiger Never Loses Its Stripes with a second four-track EP for Rekids. ‘Strike’ opens with a weighty warehouse groove, sharp electronic accents and a brooding vocal refrain. ‘ID’ follows with funkier bass movement and dub effects suspended over a lighter, tightly looped rhythm.
On the reverse, ‘Nothing To Do’ combines dusty percussion, darker synths and restless bass figures. The soulful ‘Free As A Bird’ closes with a skipping dub feel, lush chords and carefully shaped vocals, extending the range of Mikael Nordgren’s house-focused series.
