About this release
Part Two of Tony Humphries' Kiss FM Zanzibar Years continues Running Back's selection from the records heard in his radio shows and Newark club sets. The compilation places vocal house beside machine-driven tracks and instrumental mixes, reflecting the breadth of a DJ who helped bring New Jersey producers and international dance records to a wider audience. Jomanda opens the programme, with Kerri Chandler, Romanthony, Man-Machine and The It among the artists that follow. Rather than a continuous DJ mix, the vinyl presents a selection of individual recordings associated with that history. This thirteen-track part comes on three black-vinyl records in a gatefold sleeve.
