About this release
Endless – Universal Cosmic Sounds gathers recordings from 1969 to 1985 selected by Charles Maurice from his own collection. The compilation moves between jazz-funk, early electronic music, ambient textures and library-style composition, finding connections in atmosphere as much as rhythm. Paul Beaver and Bernard L. Krause’s Moog experiments open the record, with Edwin Hawkins, Bernard Larquet, Ector Davis and Jean-Claude Petit among the other contributors. Patrick Marcel’s Bagnols adds a spacious fusion setting, while the closing Love Is Back brings a more groove-focused conclusion. The selection offers a varied view of musicians exploring the meeting points between acoustic playing and electronics.
