About this release
Echoes Of Italy: The Interactive Test Experience Vol. 1 traces the electronic world Franco Falsini developed around the Interactive Test label in early-1990s Tuscany. The compilation brings together aliases and projects that approached the studio as a space for experimentation, moving between atmospheric techno, hypnotic rhythms and digital psychedelia. Open Spaces, Time Zones, Youth Wave and the other contributors reflect a shared interest in changing musical identities as well as sound. Built with home-studio tools such as Amiga computers, sequencers and analogue synths, these recordings connect the exploratory spirit of Falsini’s earlier work with Italy’s emerging rave culture. The selection presents that history across a double LP.
