Various Artists - Italian Dancefloor Outsiders in the Mezzanotte Mezzogiorno Era, 1992-2002

Sound Metaphors follows its first Italian Dancefloor Outsiders compilation with a double LP tracing another decade of Italy's electronic underground. Inspired by the Mezzanotte Mezzogiorno parties that stretched from midnight into midday, this selection connects the intensity of the club floor with the stranger sounds of the after-hours.

Across ten tracks from 1992-2002, progressive house, techno and dub sit alongside more experimental dance music. Franco Falsini and UBJ, Mreux and Omar J, Almamegretta and Massimo Giacon are among the artists featured, bringing together distinct corners of a scene whose musical reach extended well beyond a single sound.
