Unknown - Take A Look In The Mirror / Hold It Down

Ceiling Chess launches with Take A Look In The Mirror / Hold It Down, a two-track 12" from an unnamed producer. The release centres on sample-based garage, combining chopped loops with rumbling bass and an unmistakable pull towards the rave.

“Take A Look In The Mirror” takes the A-side, with “Hold It Down” on the reverse. The artist’s identity remains undisclosed, leaving the focus on the music and the label’s opening statement. Across the pairing, compact arrangements and a bass-led approach give DJs two direct selections for sets that move between house and garage. This is the first release in the Ceiling Chess catalogue, CEILING01.
