Virgo - Even More Ambient Techno Classics From Japan

Mukatsuku continues its exploration of Japanese electronic music with four archival pieces from Virgo, the solo project of Yasutaka Sato. Even More Ambient Techno Classics From Japan draws on recordings from more than two decades ago, bringing their soft rhythms, spacious chords and understated melodies to a hand-numbered 12-inch.

‘Mellow In My Mind’ opens with a calm, unhurried feel, followed by the more cosmic atmosphere of ‘Genetic Force’. On the B-side, ‘Ruined Tower’ introduces a reflective, melancholy tone before ‘Cloud Sea’ closes with gently hopeful chords and light rhythmic movement. The selection sits comfortably between ambient techno and deep house, with plenty to enjoy away from the club.
