Voodoocuts - Riddim Freak

Berlin edit specialist Voodoocuts joins Ritmo with Riddim Freak, a two-track 7" that reshapes familiar Missy Elliott material for the dancefloor. His ear for a strong vocal hook meets a playful mix of reggaeton, funk, electro and hip-hop rhythms.

"Riddim Freak" puts the vocal over springy reggaeton drums, elastic bass and bold brass, with rave horns adding extra bite. On the flip, "Work This" switches to an early electro and hip-hop feel, using old-school drum programming and sharply placed samples. A useful pair of party edits for DJs who like to move between styles.
