About this release
Exotic Illusions is the debut album from D.D. Mirage, the Sydney duo of Josh Dives and Disky Dee. Across eight tracks, they bring together Italo disco, boogie, street soul, lovers rock and Balearic influences using vintage keyboards, instruments and digital production. Daniel Monaco and Andrea De Fazio contribute the rhythm section to ‘So Hot’, while Private Joy sings on ‘Night Time’. Hotel, Jofi and Jermango Dreaming also feature across the record, widening its range of voices and approaches. This Isle of Jura edition is pressed on 180g vinyl, with full-sleeve artwork by Bradley Pinkerton.
