About this release
SIRS continues the Maxi Maximal series with four reconstructions of disco, synth-pop and Balearic material. The approach opens out familiar songs for longer blends, giving the arrangements more room while retaining their melodic and emotional core. Rather than presenting a collection of obscure discoveries, the record concentrates on extended versions made for DJ use. Aint ….. and Last Train take the first side, followed by Lady Night and City Lights on the reverse. Released through Sirsounds Records, the second volume carries the series’ focus on space, gradual development and continuity between records.
