About this release
Forever Records revisits Fila Brazillia’s Old Codes New Chaos, a 3 x 12" vinyl reissue of the 1994 cult classic from Steve Cobby and Dave McSherry.
Striking the sweet spot between sampledelic downtempo and earth-rooted deep house, the album spans deep house, broken beat, ambient textures and sharp-edged North East funk. Newly mastered from the original mixdowns and presented with liner notes by John McCready, it remains one of the duo’s most distinctive and quietly influential records.
