About this release
Ways To The Deep Meadow presents new ambient work from Jon Tye under his Ocean Moon alias. Drawing on his earlier music with MLO, Tye builds a seven-piece programme whose title comes from Angus MacLise’s poem Universal Solar Calendar. The first side gathers five shorter electronic pieces shaped during his exploration of artificial intelligence and consciousness. Two longer works occupy the reverse: Made In Dreams was composed for Janine Rook’s exhibition, while An Ending Full Of Light was created for Vix Hill Ryder’s Wild Edges film. Released by Music From Memory, the LP combines those different contexts through a gentle, spacious sound.
