About this release
Visions of Light expand their blend of Balearic atmosphere, downtempo dub and psychedelic electronics on Mycelium Bloom. Released by NuNorthern Soul, the album follows the trio’s 2025 debut and their Dedications EP, bringing Simon Sheldon, Muzka and Dan Dub Lounge together across eight tracks.
Layered guitars, deep bass and drifting melodies give the record a spacious, immersive character. On “Perfect You”, Richard Dormer writes and performs the words, with flute from Luis Vilca and mix engineering by Loew. “Split The Scene” sets acidic electronics against languid beats, while “All The Best Things” brings desert-blues touches into the arrangements. Mastered by Robin Junga, this LP comes in a full-colour sleeve with artwork by sØlar.
