About this release
79.5’s self-titled album brings the Brooklyn band’s soulful, psychedelic sound into eleven songs on Razor-N-Tape. Kate Mattison and Lola Adanna’s voices sit alongside Caito Sanchez’s drums, Andrew Raposo’s bass and Izaak Mills’ saxophone and flute, connecting underground disco, acid jazz and pop influences. Club Level opens the first side before B.D.F.Q., Feel Like Dancin’ and Stereo In The Window. LaDawn Black joins the title track, while Durand Jones appears on Our Hearts Didn’t Go That Way. The second side moves through Long Term Parking and So Real towards Magazine and Fight Or Fall, completing the band’s full album programme.
