About this release
Al Hudson & The Soul Partners’ ‘Spread Love’ appears in two original forms on this South Street Disco reissue. Taken from the group’s 1978 ABC Records album Spreading Love, the first side preserves the full album arrangement and its extended introduction. The reverse presents the original twelve-inch single version, which enters the song more directly. The pairing highlights how the same performance was shaped for the album and single formats, with the longer opening offering a different lead-in to the groove. Both versions are officially licensed and remastered for this twelve-inch release.
