About this release
Love Endeavor presents Maurice Fulton's remix of Alice Smith's song in vocal and instrumental versions. Fulton reshapes the original soul arrangement around a prominent bassline and a steady dancefloor rhythm, leaving space for Smith's voice before bringing it forward in the breakdown. The instrumental on the reverse puts the same arrangement's rhythmic and melodic details in focus without the lead vocal. South Street's 12-inch reissue gives each version a full side, offering two approaches to the recording within a straightforward single format. The result connects Smith's vocal performance with Fulton's characteristic approach to disco and house production.
