About this release
Água Remixes brings BaianaSystem's Brazilian sound into four house treatments on Razor-N-Tape Reserve. Featuring Antônio Carlos & Jocafi, the song combines orchestral melody, a vocal chant and rhythms rooted in the band's native Bahia. Jimpster supplies a remix and dub on the first side, adding synthesizers and percussion to create deeper, hypnotic textures. On the reverse, Diogo Strausz and JKriv emphasize the melodic arrangement in their remix before shifting towards darker, more percussive electronic production in the dub. This RNTR036 12-inch gathers all four versions, offering distinct perspectives on the same vocal and instrumental material.
