About this release
BELLA’s ‘Note To Self EP’ brings three originals and an Olsvangèr remix to Sally C’s Big Saldo’s Chunkers. The Dutch producer draws on nineties house, acid, electro and progressive sounds, with swinging drums and contrasting synth lines. The title track combines a rapid vocal with old-school percussion, while ‘Orchestra Spring’ moves through sampled details and shifting house textures. ‘Odd Symphony’ introduces acid bass, gritty drums and warm chords before Olsvangèr reshapes it into a longer version that moves between house and rave. The four-track 12-inch marked the label’s first artist release beyond Sally C’s own productions.
