About this release
Ben White's I Would Have To Be A Fool brings a disco and boogie rhythm together with his soulful vocal delivery. Athens Of The North pairs it with Just Give Love A Try, a gentler performance that shows another side of the singer. White recorded the single independently after working as a session musician, with a background that included Marvin Gaye, Bloodstone and Carl Carlton. The two songs place his own voice at the centre rather than the artists he had previously supported. This ATH171 edition presents the title track on the first side and Just Give Love A Try on the reverse.
