About this release
Black Truffle’s fourth G.A.M.M. EP moves between spacey European disco, slower proto-disco and jazz-inflected grooves. La Truffe Galactique brings Meteor Shower and Super Chat together on the A-side, with Disco Galaxy, made with Beard In Dust, and Escapade on the reverse. Lay-Far mastered the four reworks using reel-to-reel tape, matching the arrangements’ interest in the textures of earlier disco recordings. Across the set, Black Truffle takes a varied approach to tempo and source material, connecting more cosmic electronic details with the rhythmic feel of funk and jazz-disco.
