About this release
Digital Reggae brings together three recordings from Caliban, a project led by London guitarist Milton Myrie. The title track first appeared on the group's self-released 1984 single, combining reggae rhythm with electronic production. For this Music From Memory EP, it appears alongside a remix made by Myrie with assistance from Jackson Bailey, better known as Tapes. The reverse features Supernatural Magic, a previously unreleased recording from the Caliban sessions that moves towards disco and funk. The three-track 12-inch shows different sides of Myrie's studio work, linking the original digital reggae recording with its later reworking and an archive selection.
