About this release
Coflo launches his Loudcat Music imprint with two extended house arrangements centred on live instrumental phrases. Consequential Reeding develops in three acts, moving from baritone saxophone to monophonic Moog and finally blues harp. Beethreezy takes the reverse, building its groove around a B3 Hammond motif and a vocal sample. Cody 'Coflo' Ferreira wrote, produced, mixed and mastered the music, with contributions from saxophonist C. Hoog, harmonica player L. Van Egmond and organist A. Boquera. Both tracks leave room for the rhythmic and melodic ideas to stretch out, following the East Bay producer's connection between house music and dance.
